Job Description for Teach For Vietnam IT and Infrastructure Manager

  • Start Date : as soon as possible
  • Employment Type : Full time
  • Location : 80% in Ho Chi Minh, 20% in Quang Nam


Teach For Vietnam is seeking a IT and Infrastructure Manager to lead the IT and Infrastructure Department. The IT and Infrastructure Department supports the organization in planning and building the IT infrastructure of the organization. The IT and Infrastructure Department also works towards improving the efficiency and effectiveness of information lines within the organization and with external parties.

The IT and Infrastructure Manager will assist in the development of a strategy and vision in aligning the Teach For Vietnam needs with technology-based solutions. The IT and Infrastructure Manager will partner and engage with staff and external stakeholders and will also construct and maintain an integrated and robust system for communications and information sharing that will fit the organization’s short-term and long-term goals.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct the overall strategy and architecture for Teach For Vietnam’s information technology initiatives by fostering innovation, identifying current and future functional and individual technology needs, implementing a robust IT system and creating policies and procedures
  • Work with various functional areas to develop, implement and maintain CRM solutions (Salesforce) to potentially warehouse programmatic areas, fundraising efforts and administrative information
  • Manage both in-house applications as well as outsourced applications towards increasing productivity
  • Develop and maintain Teach For Vietnam’s IT Policy and Procedures
  • Develop and maintain the technology infrastructure of the organization by overseeing new system facilitation and current system enhancements, updating the IT inventory of the organization, implementing hardware and software updates, providing helpdesk support to staff and assisting in the delivery of IT training sessions
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of technology products and services
  • Coordinate multiple areas of technology and multiple departments

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in the IT-related industry
  • Experience with system architecture design
  • Experience with web, CMS and server management Knowledge of PHP a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of multiple Operating Systems, basic computing hardware, and
  • network administration
  • Experience with system protocols/services such as DNS, SSH, SMTP and HTML
  • Expertise with customer relations management (CRM) database customization and administration, preferably Salesforce
  • A background in server and network administration, preferably Microsoft and Cisco, is desirable
